You can build literally any digital logic gate using just a Multiplexer. Think of a MUX as
the ultimate traffic cop for your electronics. It takes a massive pile of input lines, checks a specific
select code, and lets exactly one signal pass through to the output. It is not just for
routing data, though. By manipulating the inputs, this simple selector
becomes a universal tool that can mimic AND, OR, and NOT gates perfectly.
If you reverse the whole process, you get a Demultiplexer, which takes one signal and shoots
it to a specific destination. It is the Swiss Army knife of computer engineering.
