Your muscles have a secret key and lock system that your brain controls. When you decide
to move, your nerve sends a signal that releases a chemical messenger. This zaps the muscle
and tells it to release its secret key: calcium. Calcium rushes in and unlocks a protein,
which slides another protein out of the way, revealing a series of binding sites.
Think of it like a sliding door opening. Now, tiny myosin heads, powered by ATP,
can grab on, pull, and release, like a team pulling a rope hand-over-hand.
Millions of these tiny power strokes happening at once is what makes your entire muscle contract.
