Mysteries of the Unexplored Ocean Depths

The ocean floor has less than 5 percent explored and mapped. Down there in the

darkness, gigantic creatures lurk that we have never seen. The Mariana Trench

is deeper than Mount Everest is tall, hiding life forms adapted to crushing pressure that would

kill us instantly. More people have walked on the moon than have visited the deepest parts

of our oceans. Scientists estimate 91 percent of ocean species remain undiscovered. We know more about

outer space than what lives beneath our waves.
