Reality Is Pretending

They warned us not to finish the research. Not because it was dangerous—because it was true.

People who understood it didn’t scream or panic. They just stopped trusting the world.

Street signs felt dishonest. Time felt staged. Even their own thoughts sounded rehearsed.

I avoided the conclusion until the patterns started appearing anyway—in music, in conversations,

in the pauses between words. One night, it finally clicked. Nothing collapsed.

Nothing attacked me. I just realized why reality feels stable.

It’s because it’s pretending. And now that I know, it won’t stop watching to see if I tell

anyone else.
