Reporting a Hit and Run: AITA?

She hit my car and drove off. I caught it on dashcam. I reported her—and now I’m the villain.

It gets worse. Part 4 My buddy’s a cop. I sent him the dashcam footage and explained

exactly what happened—how she hit my car, got out, checked the damage, and left without

leaving any info. He told me straight up: that’s legally a hit and run. Even with minor

damage, leaving the scene without providing information qualifies. He helped me file

the report properly. Said most people only get away with this because no one pushes it.

I also contacted my insurance. With the police report, the claim should

go through clean. Now she’s in serious trouble. Possible license issues.
