Simple DJ Mix: Beatmatching Basics

Let's perform a simple DJ mix. Pressing play on the right hand side deck,

I need to then match up my BPMs using the tempo fader. Using phrasing and counting in fours,

I will then press play on the left hand deck. Using the jog wheel, I will then match

up the beats shown here by these red lines on the software. I'm then going to slowly bring up

the tempo fader, making sure that the bass frequency is cut out. Now,

I'm going to begin to swap over the bass frequency on the right hand side and introduce the

bass on the left hand side. Now with the drum finish on the right hand side deck,

our track on the left hand deck should fit perfectly and come in at the perfect time.
