Solving radicals with exponents is actually just basic division. Stop wasting time
writing out the variable five times just to circle pairs. Look at the index number instead.
If you have the square root of x to the seventh, the hidden index is two.
Just ask yourself how many times two goes into seven. It fits three whole times with a remainder
of one. That whole number three becomes your exponent on the outside,
and the remainder one is what stays trapped inside the radical. This trick works
for cube roots or any crazy number, making algebra look like elementary math.
