Your entire world is built on a simple recipe that mixes iron with a tiny pinch of carbon.
It started thousands of years ago when we realized cooking iron ore made it way stronger than
bronze. We actually call the raw stuff pig iron because the old molds looked
like piglets nursing a mother sow. From there, we get brittle cast iron for skillets
or hammered wrought iron for gates. But the real flex is Corten steel. It literally rusts
on purpose to form a protective skin so it stops corroding. It is the ultimate shapeshifter that
refuses to die.
