The Deal I Never Agreed To

I have another question. Everyone says, “This is the deal.” What deal? They say,

“We all agreed.” I don’t remember agreeing. When I got here… the rules already

existed. “You didn’t choose the rules,” “but they help everyone.” Things work.

People cooperate. But something feels strange. If the rules were already here…

and I never said yes… Is this a real agreement… or just something everyone assumes?

The deal works. But the question stays. I’m still thinking about it.
