The Infinite World of Real Numbers

There are numbers that literally go on forever without a pattern, and you use them

every day. Think about it. We start with Natural numbers for counting. Then we need negatives,

giving us Integers. To divide stuff, we get Rational numbers—basically any fraction.

But the mind-blowing part is Irrational numbers. Numbers like pi or the square root

of 2 have decimals that never end and never repeat. You can't write them as a simple

fraction, ever. All these number types, from the simple

to the infinitely weird, make up the set of Real Numbers we use to measure

reality.
