November 24, 1971. A man calling himself Dan Cooper boards a flight from Portland

to Seattle. Midair, he shows a bomb and demands cash and parachutes.

The plane lands, ransom delivered, passengers freed, but Cooper keeps the crew,

orders them back into the air, flying low, slow, and into a freezing
