The System Killing Family Farms

The American family farm is dying because the system is actually designed to kill it.

Thomas Jefferson envisioned farmers as freeholders, owning the land they worked to avoid

becoming serfs. But now we are sliding into a dual reality. On one side, massive corporate

factories. On the other, tiny hobby farms that don't make real money.

It is not just technology doing this. It is tax laws and policies that reward the giants and squeeze

out the middle class. When family farms vanish, local towns die because corporations

do not buy local. We are trading independent owners for a landscape of underpaid employees.
