In 2004, scientists tried eliminating sleep with sound waves. For 96 hours,
subjects felt superhuman. Then they started whispering to shadows on the walls. By day five,
every single person saw the same thing: a dark figure they called The Watcher. It stood motionless
but moved closer each time they blinked. Subject nine's final recording captured 15 seconds of terrified
breathing, then a bone-chilling drone matching the exact frequency they'd been exposed
to. The project shut down immediately. All evidence was supposedly destroyed.
But former researchers warn that staying awake past four days doesn't just make you see The
Watcher. It lets him into your thoughts, where he never leaves.
