LUKE 13:6-9 - THE FIG TREE

A man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard. He came seeking

fruit on it and found none. He said to the gardener: 'For three years

I have come seeking fruit on this tree, and found none. Cut it down.

Why does it waste the soil?' But the gardener answered: 'Sir,

let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and put manure on

it. If it bears fruit, good. If not,

after that you can cut it down. Luke 13:6-9.
