Climate change is literally starving the biological batteries that power our world. Plants are supposed
to be perfect energy machines, turning sunlight into glucose and burning it to grow.
But extreme heat is cooking the enzymes they need to function, and droughts are shutting down their
fuel production. When plants run out of energy, the whole ecosystem crashes.
It sounds bad, but we have a fix. Restoring wetlands actually reboots the system.
It fixes the nitrogen cycle and brings back the microbes plants need to stabilize their metabolism
and survive the heat.
