When the Ocean Takes the Coast

The ocean is actively hunting the land you live on. Over half the world is crammed into

coastal zones that are literally a geological battleground. Waves aren't just water; they are

energy traveling thousands of miles to smash into the shore, chewing up rocks

and spitting out sand. We try to fight back with concrete sea walls and jetties

to save our beach houses, but usually, that just messes up the natural sand

flow and makes erosion worse. From massive tsunamis to slowly rising sea levels,

the coastline is never actually safe. The water always wins in the end.
