A Life-Saving Delay

You won’t believe what happened to me that day… When I was 15, I missed my bus

to school. It was raining like crazy, and I was already late for an exam.

So, I started running, hoping I’d make it somehow. Halfway there,

I saw an old man struggling with his groceries. For some reason, I stopped to help

him — even though I knew I’d be in big trouble for being late. When I finally got

to school, the exam had already started. My teacher looked at me and said,

“You’re lucky.” I didn’t understand what she meant… until I saw the news that night.
