female is a ewe, a male is a ram, a castrated male is a wether, and a baby is a
lamb. Their wool coat is called fleece, cut during shearing, and crutching cleans
around the tail. Drenching gives medicine for worms, docking shortens tails,
and mulesing prevents flystrike. Wool thickness is measured in microns. Main breeds include
Merino for fine wool, Border Leicester for mothering, Corriedale for wool
and meat, Poll Dorset for meat, Lincoln Longwool for heavy wool,
