Direct objects answer what or whom after an action verb. When Alice fell down a rabbit hole,

hole is the direct object because it answers what Alice fell down. Indirect objects

tell to whom or for whom an action is done. The Madhatter gave Alice a cup means

Alice received the cup, making her the indirect object. Objects of prepositions

always follow prepositions like in, on, at, or by.

In the sentence about Wonderland, yourself follows the preposition in,

making it an object of the preposition. Pronouns have person, number, and gender.

First person is I or we, second person is you, third person is
