and I planned a dinner last week. Nothing fancy, just catching up. But the entire time,

she kept going outside to take phone calls. Not once. Not twice. Six times.

I’m sitting there like an NPC guarding the table while she giggles outside with someone.

Our food comes. Mine gets cold. Hers gets cold. People keep staring at me.

After 30 minutes of this, I texted her: “Hey, everything okay?”

She replies: “Hold on, almost done.” Another 10 minutes pass.
