Step 1: Zoom Background Video Specifications
Before diving into your Halloween creation, make sure your device supports virtual backgrounds on Zoom. Here’s a quick checklist:
- Desktop: Requires Windows 7 or later, or macOS 10.13 or later.
- Mobile: iOS 8.0+ and Android 8.0+ should work, but newer devices run smoother.
- Processor: A faster processor, like Intel i5 or equivalent, helps with smoother backgrounds.
- Zoom Version: Download the latest Zoom app from Zoom’s website to ensure compatibility.
If you’re set on these, you’re ready to dive into the spooky fun!
Step 2: Create Halloween Zoom Background
Revid AI makes it super simple to whip up a creepy background. Here’s how you can do it in under 5 minutes:
- On revid dashboard, Click on Create New Video, then click AI Movie Maker.
- Enter Your Spooky Text: Enter your script in the script input. You can use the AI script generator for generating a funny script.
For the video above, I used the AI script generator and input the text “scary short halloween story” and copied the output.
Step 2: Select Your Voiceover
- Choose a humorous AI voice to narrate your video, or record your own voice for a personal touch.
- Upload the script for your video or let Revid AI create a script based on your text input.
In this example, I used the Charlotte voice for a professional yet funny tone.
Step 3: Choose Audio and Visual Parameters and Preset
Note: We will remove the voice audio and captions later, cause we don't need it
Now it’s time to enhance your video with visual elements:
- Choose a humorous AI voice to narrate your video. Feel free to choose any voice.
- Set Screen Ratio: Select the aspect ratio that fits your video’s target platform, here I use 16:9 since we are targeting large screen
- Media type: Choose the type of media you want generated. I used AI video because we want to generate a video
- Generation Preset: Choose the theme of your media generation. For this video, I used 3D render. Feel free to experiment with other presets
Step 4: Add Background Music and Generate
- Select from a range of preloaded fun background tracks to complement your animations.
- Click on Generate Video button to generate your video
Step 5: Remove Sound From Video
Since we are creating a zoom video, we don't need the voice and caption. See a video below on how to remove sounds and captions.
Step 3: How to Add Your Background to Zoom
Now that your Revid AI background is ready, it’s time to add it to Zoom! Here’s how to make it your background:
- Open Zoom: Log into Zoom and start or join a meeting.
- Go to Settings: Click on the small arrow next to the "Stop Video" button in the bottom-left corner of your screen.
- Select Virtual Background: Choose "Virtual Background" from the dropdown menu.
- Upload Your Revid Background: Click the "+" button to add a new background, then select your saved Revid AI video.
- Adjust for the Perfect Fit: If needed, Zoom lets you mirror your background so everything looks spooky from the right angle!
