How to Create Lord of the Rings Videos with AI in 5 Steps (2026)

Build a Middle-earth style battle video in Revid in a few minutes: the script prompt, scene notes, voice, visuals and music used for the demo, plus the soundtrack mistake that gets fan videos blocked.

How to Create Lord of the Rings Videos with Revid AI
On this page

To create a Lord of the Rings video with AI in Revid, click Create, choose From script or From an idea, write narration with [bracketed] scene notes, pick a voice and AI visuals, add library music, then click Generate video. You can then edit, export up to 4K, or publish to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.

The mistake that sinks most fan videos is the soundtrack, not the visuals. Put the film score under your battle scene and you invite a Content ID claim, and on YouTube any Short longer than one minute with an active Content ID claim is blocked globally. This guide uses Revid's built-in music library instead.

Here is the demo video this guide is based on:

Step 1: Open the Create page and pick a starting point

  1. Click Create at the top of the left sidebar (or press C). The page asks "What do you want to make?"
  2. Pick the tab that matches what you have:
    • From script if you already have narration. The tool gives you a field titled "Your video narrator script" and an AI voice reads it over matching visuals.
    • From an idea if you want Revid to write the story from a prompt (Prompt to Video).
  3. For a more film-like result, open All tools and use the Cinematic Video AI Generator, which writes a screenplay from your story and directs the scenes.

Step 1: the Create page, with every starting point in one row

Step 2: Write the script with scene notes

The demo story was drafted from this prompt, then lightly edited by hand:

Experience the epic battles from The Lord of the Rings, where close combat and magical fights come to life. Relive the final war with up to seven iconic characters.

If you start from a blank page, the free AI script generator can draft a story you then paste into the script field. Paste the same prompt into From an idea if you prefer Revid to write it inside the project.

Prompt to try

Create a 45-second vertical narrated video about the last stand at a mountain fortress in an epic high-fantasy world. Open with the hook "The gate fell at dawn." Use a low, unhurried narrator voice, AI video with torchlight, fog, wide shots of armies and close-ups of a grey-robed wizard raising a glowing staff, and slow mythic strings for music.

Steer each scene with brackets

Text [between brackets] is treated as a note for the visuals, not narration. In the script flow, Revid maps those notes onto the scenes as visual hints. Each new line starts new content, so give each shot its own line:

[Wide shot of a stone fortress at night, torches along the walls, an army gathering below] The last stand began before dawn. [Close-up of a wizard in grey raising a glowing staff] One light against ten thousand blades. [Slow push-in on a small figure holding a gold ring] And everything depended on the smallest of them.

Keep the notes descriptive (place, light, framing). With some ElevenLabs voices, a one-word bracket such as [whispers] is read as a delivery cue rather than a scene note.

Add dramatic pauses

Type <break time="1.0s" /> where you want silence, for example before the reveal of the ring. Pauses are capped at 10 seconds. ElevenLabs and MiniMax voices honor the tag; Gemini and Kling voices drop it with no pause, so pick one of the first two if timing matters.

Step 3: Choose a narrator voice

Pick a voice whose tone fits an old legend: low, warm and unhurried. The demo used Bill, an older, trustworthy American male voice. Play a few samples with your first line before you commit, since the opening sentence sets the mood for the whole video.

The voice picker follows the project language. To narrate in another language, write the script in that language or set it under Advanced options > Language & Localization > Language (it defaults to Automatic).

Step 4: Pick the visuals and the ratio

Under Choose media type, you pick what illustrates each scene. For Middle-earth, two options matter most:

Media typeWhat you getBest forCost (credits)
AI videoGenerated clips with real motion (Seedance 2.5, MiniMax Hailuo, Wan 3.0, Google Veo 3)Charging armies, sword fights, spell effectsPer 5 seconds: Low 15, Pro 50, Ultra 100; Veo 3 and MiniMax H3 100; Seedance 2.5 1080p 250
Animated AI imagesStill AI images moved by camera pans and zooms (the default)Narrated lore, map-style history, quick draftsPer image: Low 1, Pro 4, Ultra 16
Stock videosPre-made footageLandscapes and textures, not charactersVaries

The list also offers Motion graphics, Your own media and Static / Gameplay. AI video needs a paid plan, and a model can be chosen per scene, so you can spend premium credits only on the battle shots. Voice-over adds 10 credits per started 500 characters.

Then pick the ratio in the composer: 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, 16:9 for a regular YouTube video, or 1:1 and 4:5 for feeds.

Step 5: Add music and generate

  1. Choose a background track from Revid's built-in library (199 tracks) or upload your own. Only upload music you have the rights to use. The demo used a calm, mythic library track called Elysian; anything slow with strings or choir-like pads fits.
  2. Check Estimated cost next to the button. It shows the credits the video will use before you spend them.
  3. Click Generate video. Failed builds are refunded automatically.

Fix scenes and the voice-over in the editor

When the render finishes, open it from Videos (click the project card) to land in the editor. The left rail has Script, Text, Media, Transitions, Audio, Captions and Settings.

The Script panel: edit any line in place
  • A scene looks wrong: select the clip. Use Replace to pick another file from the Media library, or regenerate it: AI images offer Regenerate image or Edit existing image, and AI video clips offer Re-animate, New image + video or Edit with AI.
  • A line reads badly: edit it in the Script panel. Revid shows "Caption updated. Re-generate voice if timing changed." Then open Audio, find the line under Project Voiceovers and click Re-generate, then Generate Voice. Leave Keep timeline in sync on so clips and music follow the new timing. This is for paid plans and costs 10 credits per 500 characters.
  • A shot runs long: drag the clip edge on the timeline, or press S to split at the playhead. The guide to trimming a video in Revid covers exact times.

Export and publish to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube

Click Export at the top right (Export / Publish on a free account). Revid exports at 720p, 1080p or 4K, at 30 or 60 fps; 4K export costs 10 credits.

To post directly, connect your accounts once in Settings > Integrations: TikTok, YouTube, Instagram (business or creator account) and X. Then use Publish on the project to post now or Add to queue to schedule it. More on scheduling and publishing from Revid.

Prompt to try

Make a 30-second cinematic short of a single moment: a small hooded traveler holding a gold ring on a cliff edge as a burning army marches below. Start mid-action with the line "He had one step left." Keep narration to two short lines, let long shots of fog, firelight and scale carry the story, and score it with choir-like pads.

Tips for Lord of the Rings videos people finish watching

  • Open on the moment, not the setup. Your first line should drop viewers into the siege or the betrayal ("The gate fell at dawn."), not explain who everyone is.
  • One iconic moment per video. A single duel, charge or farewell beats a summary of the trilogy. Turn the rest into a numbered series.
  • Describe light and scale in brackets. Torchlight, fog, wide shots of armies and tight close-ups give the models clearer targets than "epic battle".
  • Let the visuals carry the story. In Revid's analysis of 176,367 TikToks with 1,000+ likes posted between October 2025 and October 2026, videos with under 40 characters of speech had a 123K median and 20.2% passed 1 million views, against 68K and 11.9% for videos talking throughout (300+ characters). The sample only holds videos that already did well, so it shows what top videos share rather than a cause, but it argues for short lines and long shots. FAQ

Can I use the Lord of the Rings soundtrack in my video?

No, not safely. The film score is copyrighted and can trigger Content ID claims, and on YouTube a Short over one minute with an active claim is blocked globally. Use a track from Revid's library or music you own.

Is Revid free for making Lord of the Rings videos?

You can start free: sign-up is free and new accounts get free credits, no credit card needed. Regular creation uses a paid plan's monthly credits, from $39/month (Growth); current plans are on the pricing page.

Can I make the same video in another language?

Yes. Open the project card menu, choose Translate, and pick a target language; Revid keeps the edit, media, timing and captions and re-voices the narration. Voices cover 70+ languages.

Do I have to label AI-generated Lord of the Rings videos?

Only when the visuals look realistic. TikTok requires a label on realistic AI-generated content and YouTube requires disclosure of realistic AI scenes; clearly stylized or illustrated videos generally do not need it.
