Revid vs Vizard

Vizard cuts the long videos you already recorded into clips, and does it cheaply and well. Revid makes the videos you never recorded.

Vizard is a repurposing specialist. Upload a webinar, podcast or interview and it finds the moments, reframes them vertically, captions them and lets you schedule the clips to your social accounts. It is priced low (Creator is $29/month, or $14.50/month billed yearly, per vizard.ai/pricing) and it is well liked: 4.7/5 across 2,521 Trustpilot reviews in September 2026, which is higher than Revid's score. If your job is turning recordings into clips, Vizard is the better pick and cheaper.

Revid starts from the other side. There is no recording: you give it an idea, a script, an article or a song and it generates the visuals, voice-over, captions and music, then publishes. Revid does include a YouTube clip maker for basic repurposing, but it will not pretend to match a dedicated clipping product. So the honest question is what you have on hand: hours of footage, or nothing yet.

Where Vizard is simply the better pick

If you run a podcast, webinars, coaching calls or interviews, you already own the raw material and the job is extraction. Vizard is built for exactly that: it clips, reframes, subtitles, translates subtitles and schedules, at $29/month or less. Its review record backs it up, with the praise on Trustpilot centered on time saved and ease of use. The minority of complaints there mention no refunds on credits after cancelling and slow support.

Revid's YouTube clip maker pulls highlights from a video link and captions them, which covers light repurposing. For a weekly long-form show, a dedicated clipper like Vizard will go deeper for less money, and we would rather say that than lose your trust.

Where clipping stops

A clipper can only publish what you recorded. Revid generates the video itself: type what it should be about, paste an article, or upload a song, and it produces the script, visuals, voice-over in 70+ languages, captions and soundtrack. That means channels on topics you never filmed, daily tests of new ideas, product ads without a shoot, or a music video for a track with no footage.

Many teams use both: a clipper for the recorded show and a generator for original shorts between episodes. Vizard lists an API with rate limits per plan; Revid includes its REST API, MCP server and CLI on every paid plan, so either can be driven by an automation.

Short Films

Revid is not a 5-second video toy. Its viral video intelligence writes the script, directs the scenes, generates the voices and edits the final cut. Every film below was created in one go.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Revid a Vizard alternative?
Only partially. For cutting long recordings into clips, Vizard is the specialist, it is cheaper, and Revid's YouTube clip maker is a lighter option. For creating original short videos without source footage, that is Revid's core job and outside what a clipper does. Many creators use both.
Which is cheaper, Revid or Vizard?
Vizard. Its Creator plan is $29/month, or $14.50/month billed yearly ($174), and Business is $39/month or $19.50 yearly, per vizard.ai/pricing in September 2026. Revid starts at $39/month, or $32/month billed yearly. They meter different things: Vizard counts minutes of source video, Revid counts generation credits.
Is Vizard free?
There is a free plan with 60 credits a month (60 minutes of video), 720p export with a watermark, a 10-minute export limit and 3-day storage. Removing the watermark, 4K export and scheduling start on the Creator plan.
How do the Trustpilot scores compare?
Vizard stood at 4.7/5 across 2,521 reviews in September 2026, with 89% five-star. Revid's score is lower and is shown with its link in the table above. Read both pages rather than taking a summary from either company.
Can Vizard generate videos from text?
Vizard's site lists an AI video generator and an AI Studio alongside its clipping tools; we did not test them and its pricing page is organized around minutes of uploaded video. Revid's core product is generation from a prompt, script, article or song.
What should a creator with no existing footage pick?
Revid. Vizard needs long-form source material to clip. Revid generates complete videos from a prompt, script, article, or song, so an empty channel can start posting on day one.
