What you will make

  • A real music video for your Suno song, not the cover art and scrolling lyrics Suno exports
  • Scenes that change on your lyrics, with Suno's own title and words read from the link
  • The format you post in: 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, or 16:9 for YouTube
  • A video you can fix scene by scene before you export it or schedule it

What you need

  • A finished song on Suno, and its share link. You do not need to download anything first
  • A paid Suno plan if you will earn from the song: free plan songs are for personal, non-commercial use
  • Credits: a 2:58 song showed 45 credits on Animated AI images and costs about 535 on Base AI video. AI video needs a paid Revid plan
  • New Revid accounts get free credits, enough to test a short cut. Exporting from the editor needs a paid plan

The recipe

7 steps, in the order they happened

  1. 1

    Step 1

Know what Suno exports, and what you are making

Suno can already give you a video file. It shows your cover art, not scenes.

People searching for "Suno to MP4" often want one of two things. Suno lets you download a song as a video file, and in our test that file showed the title, the cover art and the lyrics scrolling past. A music video has scenes, characters and cuts timed to the song. Here is the same song both ways:

Suno video export of the song kI Say It Now: the title, a still cover image of two glass spheres on a beach, and scrolling lyrics on a grey background
Suno's own video file of the song: cover art and scrolling lyrics.
Revid music video of the same song: a sunlit old living room in Havana with a lyric caption
The Revid music video of the same song, from its link: 3:01 of Ultra realism on Pro. 12,946 YouTube views when picked.
  2. 2

    Step 2

Copy the right link from Suno

Use the song's Copy Link or Share option. A profile or a page in the Create screen will not work.

In your Suno library, use Copy Link on the song, or open the three-dot menu and choose Share. New Suno songs are Link Only by default, meaning anyone with the direct link can open them, and that is enough: your song does not need to be public, and you do not need to download it first.

Which Suno links work in Revid
    LinkLooks likeWorks?
Share linksuno.com/s/sJ43gHFGgAtfniKaYes. 26 of the 30 examples on our music video page started from one of these
    Song pagesuno.com/song/<song id>Yes
Your profilesuno.com/@yournameNo: copy a song, not the profile
Create screensuno.com/createNo: open the song itself first
A deleted or hidden songAnyNo: the song must be finished and still shared

Keep the file as a backup

If a link cannot be imported, Revid asks you to use Download on suno.com and upload the file instead. MP3 and WAV both work, and the rest of this tutorial stays the same.

  3. 3

    Step 3

Paste it and check what Revid read

The song's title and length appear under the field, and the cost updates to match.

Open Suno to Video and paste the link. Within a few seconds a card shows the song title and its length, here kI Say It Now at 2m 57s. Revid also reads the lyrics you gave Suno, which helps it time the words on a vocal track. The estimated cost next to the Generate button updates for that length, so you see the price before spending anything.

A Suno share link pasted into Revid, with a card showing the song title kI Say It Now and its length of 2 minutes 57 seconds
A Suno share link in Suno to Video. The green card confirms the song, its title and its length.
  4. 4

    Step 4

Choose Lyrics or Beats, and how much of the song to use

Lyrics for anything sung, Beats for a Suno instrumental. Test an excerpt before the full song.

The Sync your video to setting in Revid, with Lyrics and Beats options, and the Song segment setting showing Full song 2:57.7
Lyrics adds timed captions; Beats does not. Song segment switches between the whole track and an excerpt.

Every one of the Suno examples we could read uses Lyrics, as do 88% of the 58,908 music videos built on Revid since July 1. Choose Beats when your Suno song is an instrumental: scenes then follow the rhythm and no captions are made.

Song segment defaults to the full song. Pick Excerpt to choose a part, at least 10 seconds long. For a vertical post, one verse and the hook is usually enough: Top Floor Itch is a 3:10 Suno song cut to its best 70 seconds.

Read the captions before you export

Suno vocals can be hard to transcribe, especially fast verses, invented words and names. Open the captions in the editor and correct them before you post.

  5. 5

    Step 5

Pick the visuals, and read the price

Animated AI images are the low-cost start. AI video is what makes characters move and sing.

What a 2:58 Suno song costs on Revid, October 2026
    VisualsCreditsWhat you get
Animated AI images45Still AI images with camera moves. 58% of music videos on Revid use this. You can generate it on free credits
AI video, BaseAbout 535Characters and objects really move. Needs a paid plan, and is required for singer lip sync
AI video, ProAbout 1,780Sharper motion and detail
AI video, UltraAbout 3,560The best model available, for a hero video

The Growth plan is $39 a month for 2,000 credits, so that is three songs of this length on Base, or one on Pro. Of the music videos made with AI video on Revid, 73% use Base.

Thank You for Life Neo soul, Auto style on Base, 3:49, 687 credits. Lyric captions and a sound wave. 6,520 YouTube views when picked.
Snake in My Boots Country rock, Auto style on Pro, 3:22, 2,020 credits. Lip sync on all sung parts, no written direction.
Gravity Between Us R&B, Auto style on Base, 4:02, 726 credits. A one-line direction.
Two Hearts R&B, Auto style on Base, 4:27, 801 credits. No written direction.

    Test for almost nothing

Our own test of a 20 second excerpt on Animated AI images cost 4 credits and came back as a 1080p vertical MP4 with the song in it. Do this first to check the look and the timing.

  6. 6

    Step 6

Tell it what the video is about

The direction is optional. A sentence helps, and a real brief is what separates the best ones.

Suno knows your song's genre and words, but not the picture in your head. Skip the Video concept field and Revid writes the scenes from the song alone: Snake in My Boots and Two Hearts did that. One line already changes a lot. This is the whole direction of Gravity Between Us:

Gravity Between Us: full direction, as written
Gravity pulling the man and woman together. Love growing between the two.

For a story, write where it happens, how it changes through the song, and what must not appear. This is how I Still Love You starts:

I Still Love You: direction (excerpt)
"Say It Now" song takes place in Havana, Cuba. The first half is bright
daylight, the next quarter is golden evening, and the final quarter is warm night.

Do not make this lyric-by-lyric. Tell one continuous romantic apology story
through the city. Only LUMA sings. No microphone!

Keep LUMA around 30% of video and Havana around 70%, so the city carries
the emotion. During instrumentals, focus on Havana itself: pastel streets,
balconies, sea wall, old cars passing far away.

Start from what you told Suno

Your Suno style prompt already describes the mood and the instruments. Reuse it, then add the place, the character and the story arc.

  7. 7

    Step 7

Check your Suno rights, then export and post

What you can do with the video depends on the Suno plan you were on when you made the song.

What Suno says about your song, read October 30, 2026
Your Suno plan when you made itWho owns the songYouTube, TikTok, Spotify
FreeSuno: "we retain ownership of the songs you generate"Personal, non-commercial use only. Not for a monetizing YouTube channel or Spotify
Pro or PremierYou: "you are considered the owner of the song"Suno says you can use it in content on YouTube and TikTok and distribute it to Spotify and Apple Music
    • Upgrading later does not cover old songs: Suno says it "does not give you retroactive commercial use licensing". Remake the song on a paid plan first.
    • Download the song from Suno too if you will earn from it. Suno's terms say: "You may not commercially exploit Output that has not been downloaded by you".
    • Each platform has its own rules on AI music, and Suno says to follow them. Revid only makes the video, and this is not legal advice.

The video opens in the Revid editor: replace a scene that misses its line, fix the captions, check the last shot. Export an MP4, or schedule it to TikTok, YouTube and Instagram from Revid.

Frequently asked questions

Does Suno make music videos?

Not with scenes. You can download a song as a video file, which in our test showed the title, the cover art and scrolling lyrics. Suno's Hooks feature asks you to bring your own video. To get scenes, characters and cuts timed to the song, you need a tool like Revid.

How do I convert a Suno song to MP4?

For a plain MP4 with your cover art, use the video download in Suno or the free MP3 to MP4 converter on Revid. For a full music video as an MP4, paste the Suno link into Suno to Video, generate, then export.

Does my Suno song need to be public?

No. Public songs and Link Only songs both work, as long as the song is finished. A hidden or deleted song cannot be imported.

Why is my Suno link not working?

Check that it points to one song, in the form suno.com/s/ or suno.com/song/, and not to your profile or the Create screen. If it still fails, use Download on suno.com and upload the MP3 or WAV instead.

Can I use a song from Suno's free plan?

You can make the video, but Suno says free plan songs are for personal, non-commercial use, and it keeps ownership of them. For a monetized channel or Spotify, make the song on a paid Suno plan.

How much does it cost to make a music video from a Suno song?

It depends on the visuals and the length. A 2:58 song showed 45 credits on Animated AI images, and costs about 535 on Base AI video, 1,780 on Pro and 3,560 on Ultra. AI video needs a paid Revid plan, from $39 a month for 2,000 credits. The generator shows the cost before you start.

Can the character sing my Suno lyrics?

Yes. Turn on singer lip sync with AI video and lyric timing, and set how much of the sung parts the singer performs. Snake in My Boots and I Still Love You, on this page, both use it.

What is the longest Suno song I can use?

Our examples run up to 6 minutes 47 seconds, and credits follow the length. Use Excerpt if you only want part of a long song.

Revid API

Or do it from an agent

Suno links work in the music-to-video workflow of the Revid API, the Revid CLI and the render_video tool of the Revid MCP server in Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor. Send the link, then poll the project and export it.

API: a Suno link to a vertical music video
curl -X POST https://www.revid.ai/api/public/v3/render \
  -H "key: $REVID_API_KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{

"music": { "syncWith": "lyrics", "enableLyricsLipSync": true },

Send the same body to /api/public/v3/calculate-credits first to see the cost without generating anything. For a Suno link the quote is flagged as not reliable, because the bill follows the song's real length: 15 credits per 5 seconds on Base.
